Case studies

Angela Hunter. Walsham Le Willows Primary School. Suffolk

How much did you raise?
We raise in the region of £200 each time we do it and we are a small school of 90 children.

What did you do?
It is so easy to do - we choose the templates and all the children do a picture.  Then we show them to parents, usually at parents evening when we have all the parents here, and get them to pay with their order.

Was it fun?
Yes - The children love doing it and the parents love the results.  We've even used t-shirts as leavers presents for Year 4 and bags for staff that are leaving.

Would you do it again?
We would definitely do it again!  It is so easy for the children and to administer and we can't fault the service - we haven't had a problem yet

Any advice for other groups new to this?
I would encourage any school or nursery to do it - with our youngest children we did handprints for bags and tea towels and they looked fantastic!

Linda Butler. Flintham Primary School. Nottinghamshire

How much did you raise?
We have raised £324.00 on all my own work products.

What did you do?
We have done a variety of products over the last couple of years which included coasters, placemats, mugs, calendars and whole school tea towels.

Was it fun?
I feel the children have enjoyed completing the artwork and get a real sense of pride in seeing their work in print. Also especially when their Grandparents get to keep something of theirs forever.

Would you do it again?
I would definitely do it again and there are already plans for this years.

Any advice for other groups new to this?
Be prepared, give yourself time and enjoy it. Talk to Penny who is fabulous and gives you good advice on what is the most suitable for your group.

Tracey Bird. Truro.

How much did you raise?
Approx £100 for our preschool

What did you do?
We did the coasters, the children designed their own.

Was it fun?
Yeah definitely

Would you do it again?
W'll be hoping to do something this year.

Any advice for other groups new to this?
I think the process was really straight forward. I used the example letter for our parents so then we had the money up front but didn’t bank it until we received the completed work. I guess choose something relevant to your setting, that you think will sell. We chose one of the cheapest things to start with so managed to gain a reasonable margin on them and found people will always order a coaster made by their children.

Jane Morley. Buttercross Pre-School. Bingham

How much raised?
Just over £270.00

What did you do?
Coasters/mouse mats with finger print minibeasts (very popular). We have also made leavers banners and Royal Wedding Tea Towels.

Did we enjoy?
Definitely. The children love collecting the finished product,(especially if it’s a secret for mothers/fathers day).

Would we do it again?
Yes. We plan on sending our Xmas order asap! The art work and final product make fabulous keepsakes from the children. We always keep some in the setting, on display.

Advice?
Try and start the project in plenty of time. Getting the whole setting to produce a piece of art work takes time!

Mr & Mrs Muller, Parents Group, Kindergarten.

We were very pleased with our recent order for Group Tea Towels. The level of customer service we received from All My Own Work was excellent, being prompt, friendly and efficient. Whether you order dozens or hundreds you are treated with the same respect and receive the same high level of service. The quality of the products far exceeded our expectations, with really sharp and clear reproduction of our children's drawings. We would heartily recommend them to anyone considering purchasing such products. We would gladly use them again, and we know if you use them you will not be disappointed.

... in the midst of all the holiday hubbub that the tea towels were utterly fabulous. They were loved by all.  Thank you so very much for all your hard work.  From start to finish your company was so professional.
You certainly do amazing work.  The quality of the cloth and the sharpness of the colour and print are first-rate.We look forward to doing another Leavers towel and a Nursery towel in the new school year!
Please let me know of any special offers in future.  Always interested in a good deal. Chuffed to bits.

Emily Cook. St Thomas's Playgroup

"I just wanted to say a big thank you to all your staff for the great service we received last December (2011).
We did both tea towels and bags for parents to purchase as christmas presents and mementoes of their children's time at our playgroup.

While organising this I rang your firm on a number of occasions, once with a last minute error, and I always got a friendly and helpful response. I also appreciated your clear pricing structure that includes VAT so you know exactly what you will be paying.

We are only a small playgroup (24 children) yet we raised over £150 from the sale of the tea towels and bags. What's more we got great products that both look brilliant and are well made.

We will definitely be using you again next year and I wholeheartedly recommend your firm to anyone."
