School Tea Towels Artwork Tips and Ordering Information
If you are using your own paper, follow these instructions carefully.
1. Decide whether you would like a plain line or a decorative border on your tea towel. If you require just a plain line border, start with a sheet of paper measuring 72 x 41cm If you’d like a decorative border, your sheet must measure 66 x 36cm.
2. From the chart, give each child a suitably sized piece of paper.

3. For best results, drawings should be done straight onto self-adhesive address/computer labels & stuck directly onto the white master sheet. Drawings should be well defined, using clear black fibre tip pens – not pencil or coloured felt tips.
Check that names are clear and legible. If you don’t use sticky labels, make sure that the drawings are well stuck down! Try and avoid large gaps between the drawings by sticking them close together. Don’t forget to leave space for your logo. Younger children can do hand or fingerprints, using black paint. To prevent smudging, dab the hand or finger on tissue paper before pressing it onto the paper.
4. Choose your print colour, quantity required and decorative border code (where applicable) and write them in pencil on the back of the artwork. Roll up your artwork sheet and send it to us in a cardboard tube along with your return address and contact details. After about 14 days, a paper proof of your artwork will be sent for your approval, before your tea towels are printed. Allow a further 14 days from approval of artwork to delivery of tea towels.
For those who have left things a bit late, or if you aren't able to sell 100 tea towels the ‘Group Tea Towel’ is a great alternative, minimun order of 10 and they can be printed in double-quick time! |
